Bad Breath Treatment
Having bad breath can be a sign of different things. Usually, poor oral hygiene will result in bad breath as bacterial build-up, tartar and plaque can produce toxins that might cause your breath to smell. However, there are other reasons why you might experience bad breath.
The good news is that it is very easy to treat – by simply improving your oral hygiene and taking care of your teeth, you will see a great improvement. When we brush our teeth we reach spots where food accumulates. Bacteria grow and feed from these foods and create a film around the gum and tooth which builds up with time. This is called tartar or plaque, and it is a build-up that if it is not being cleaned off your teeth can cause a lot of problems including bad breath.
That is why it is very important to brush your teeth and gums regularly, floss between your teeth, so no food is left in the hard to reach areas and also most importantly, clean your tongue! A lot of people forget this last part, and most people who think their oral hygiene is really good, sometimes forget that bacteria can build up on your tongue. You need to make sure it is always pink and nice, when it starts to become white – it is time to clean that tongue!
